Intim

Ulterior motive / Hintergedanke
Intimität mit meiner Kunst zu folgen ist ein lang ersehnter Wunsch von mir. Vor allem die Frage «wie wird Intimität in mein Werk erfasst/gezeigt?». Kann ich sie sehen? Wie wird meine Wahrnehmung im Bild gespiegelt? Dies gedacht ausserhalb der übliche Bildkompositionen die für Romantik und «Liebesbeziehungen» Kunsthistorisch gedacht sind.
Following intimacy with my art is a long-cherished wish of mine. Above all, the question «how is intimacy captured/shown in my work?». Can I see her? How is my perception reflected in the picture? This is thought outside of the usual pictorial compositions that are art historically intended for romance and “love relationships”.
«wenn ich und mein Mann ein Film schauen jeder in seiner Ecke der Sofa und zwischen uns ein grosse Schale Popcorn liegt».
“When my husband and I watch a film, we each sit in our own corner of the sofa and there is a large bowl of popcorn between us”.
Diese Bild faszinierte mich, weil sie in Kontrast zu jegliche piktorale Idee über Intimität stand. Als ich mich hinsetzte um der jetzige Projektversion zu schereiben wurde mir dieser Satz wieder ins Bewusstsein gezogen. Ich will nicht die Idee oder das Klischee zu Intimität sehen ich will die wahre einfache oder komplexe Realität sehen.
This image intrigued me because it contrasted with any pictorial idea of intimacy. When I sat down to write the current project version, this sentence was brought back to my consciousness. I don’t want to see the idea or the cliché about intimacy I want to see the true simple or complex reality.

Die Videos sind die Ergebnisse der Interviews, sie sind alle auf Schweizerdeutsch und auf Deutsch, wenn ich rechtzeitig eine Übersetzung hinzufüge.
In addition to portraying the couples, I asked the what “Intimacy” means for them.
